Our Privacy Policy applies to anyone who uses our site. By using our Site, you consent to the data practices set forth in this statement. Please read them carefully and print out a copy for your records.

We will occasionally update this Privacy Policy to reflect company and user feedback. You are encouraged to periodically review this Privacy Policy to be informed of how we are protecting your information.

1. AGREEMENT BETWEEN USER AND NETWORKAFTERWORK.COM.

Our website consists of several different web pages operated by Network After Work, Inc. Protecting your privacy and maintaining your trust is our number one priority. This Privacy Policy applies to networkafterwork.com and NAW and governs the data we collect and how we use it. networkafterwork.com is an E-commerce Site.

2. COLLECTION OF PERSONAL INFORMATION.

We collect two basic types of information when you use our Site to offer you a personalized and rewarding experience. These types of information are known as Non-Personally Identifiable Information” (or “Non-PII”) and “Personally Identifiable Information” or (“PII”).

NON-PERSONALLY IDENTIFIABLE INFORMATION

When you visit our site or create an account with us, NAW, as well as third parties with whom we have contracted to provide services to us, collects certain kinds of data that helps us provide the best experience for our users and members. Non-PII does not identify you personally, it simply provides us demographic information on how you use the site. For example, 30-year-old woman working in advertising with an interest in meeting people involved with television advertising is Non-PII. Non-PII is typically collected though the Site in the following ways: Internet Protocol (IP) Addresses and web logs, cookies, pixel tags and other similar technologies, and other Non- PII that you voluntarily provide.

a) IP Addresses and Web Logs: Your unique IP Address is assigned to your computer by your internet service provider. When you access our Site, whether as a member or visitor, it provides us with your computer operating system details, the web browser that you’re using, your mobile device operating system (provided you’re accessing our Site on a mobile device), and the name of your internet service provider or mobile carrier.

b) Cookies: This is data that shows us how you use our site. Cookies reside on your computer and help the Site recognize your computer’s browser as a previous visitor. If you do not want data collected through the use of cookies, you should be able to modify your browser preference to provide you with choices relating to cookies.

c) Pixel Tags: A Pixel Tag is an electronic image, often a single pixel (1×1), that is ordinarily not visible to Site visitors and may be associated with cookies on the visitors’ hard drives. Pixel Tags do not contain any PII and allow us to count users who have visited certain pages of the Site, to deliver branded services, and to help determine the effectiveness of promotional or advertising campaigns.

d) Voluntarily Provided Non-PII: We may also collect information such as geographic location or industry preferences when you voluntarily provide that data to us in order to further customize your experience so you can communicate with the exact type of professionals you are interested in.

PERSONALLY IDENTIFIABLE INFORMATION

It is possible to use the Site without providing any PII, however, to get the most out of what we offer, we do require that members provide certain types of PII. In order to be included in the NAW Membership Directory, receive our Recommended Connections, and receive access to our Perk Network, we may require PII such as your name, postal address, telephone number, credit card number or other payment account number, and health related information (for example, physically disabled seating requests). You may also provide PII when submitting comments through chat rooms, forums or message boards, but we do not collect or use PII from these sources. We only collect PII when you voluntarily provide it.

3. USE OF YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION.

NAW collects and uses your personal information to operate our Site(s) and deliver the services you have requested. We use your information to help enforce compliance with our Terms & Conditions and applicable law. NAW is committed to protecting the rights and safety of our employees and others. We may use Non-PII for any purpose because it does not personally identify you. We may use it to keep track of the number of visits users make to the Site, the average time spent on the Site, and the pages viewed. We may use Non-PII to diagnose problems with our servers and to administer the Site. We may use Non-PII to sell and deliver advertising, promotions and content that we believe will interest you. We reserve the right to share Non-PII that does not personally identify you with third parties, for any purpose.

NAW will not share PII with third parties except as described in this Policy. We may use PII you give us to improve your website and event experience by tailoring content to your specific preferences. We may also share your PII with trusted third parties who assist us in the execution of our services and events. On the occasions we share PII, we make sure it receives the same level of protection provided by our Site. All third parties are prohibited from using your personal information except when providing these services to NAW. We may use PII to send you information about NAW and the services we provide as well as promotional material on behalf of our affiliates, vendors or advertisers. Any information on the Site you forward to someone else will require the use of a recipient email address. While this recipient’s email address may be saved in our log files, we will not knowingly share it with any third parties and will not use such PII for any purpose other than to send the message.

Not with standing any other provision, we partner with third parties that collect information across various channels, including offline and online, for purposes of delivering more relevant advertising to you or your business. Our partners may place or recognize a cookie on your computer, device, or directly in our emails/communications, and we may share personal information with them if you have submitted such information to us, such as your name, postal address, email address, or device ID. Our partners may link the hashed or obfuscated personal information we share with them to the cookie stored on your browser or device, and they may collect information such as your IP address, browser, or operating system type and version, and demographic or inferred-interest information. Our partners use this information to recognize you across different channels and platforms, including but not limited to, computers, mobile devices, over time for advertising (including addressable TV), analytics, attribution, and reporting purposes. For example, our partners may deliver an ad to you in your web browser based on a purchase you made in a physical retail store, or they may send a personalized marketing email to you based on the fact that you visited a particular website. Your data may be transferred outside of the country from which it was originally collected.
